Many Western countries, including the United States, Germany, Great Britain and Poland, decided to send modernized tanks to Ukraine. Above all, the German Leopard 2 and the American Abrams M1 have the potential to give Ukraine an edge on the battlefield, according to analysts.
Money is like a carrot
In addition to the fact that the first tank destroyed will be awarded a bonus of five million rubles, each subsequent destroyed tank will be rewarded with an amount of 500,000 rubles (about 74,200 crowns).
“The decision to transfer Western tanks to Kyiv indicates that NATO is no longer just supplying defensive weapons to Ukraine and means we need to unify and support our military,” Fors wrote in a statement.
The company is not the first to attract money for tank destroyers. Last week, Alexander Osipov, the governor of the Siberian region Zabekalsky, promised a reward of up to three million rubles (about 445,200 crowns) for a captured Leopard tank, and 1.5 million rubles (about 222,600 crowns) for a captured Abrams tank.
