Schlager singer Lisa Uman dies

With the song “Hit but no longer”, Lisa Uhmann took third place at Melodifestivalen 1980. During the 1970s she was a choral singer for artists such as Harpo, Björn Skifs, and Ted Gärdestad. Later, she also drove to ABBA with, among others, Thomas Leyden.

– I have very pleasant memories with Lisa from the tour in Japan. She was always happy and open. When you travel together, it can be overwhelming, but she’s always been professional and good to deal with, says Thomas Lyden.

When she next performed as a solo artist at Melodifestivalen in 1980, Thomas Leyden was the winner. He writes that the next day, they board the same plane to ride together again for Abba on the band’s world tour. Aftonbladet.

Lisa Uhmann also participated for the second time in Melodifestivalen and then with the song “Hey hi ho” which took third place. She has done several film roles as a voice actress, including that of Simba’s mother in “The Lion King” and co-produced albums with newly written Swedish children’s songs, including “Bananas in pajamas”.

Johan Haldane, son of Lisa Osman, told Aftonbladet that his mother died in mid-January, and that despite the epidemic he could remain with her until the end.
