Ski jumping. Additional Continental Cup in Oberstdorf

Ski jumping. Additional Continental Cup in Oberstdorf

The International Skating Union has found an alternative to the canceled Continental Cup competitions, which were due to be held in Titisee-Neustadt this weekend. From January 15-16, the players of the “second league” will visit Oberstdorf.

Originally this weekend, the Confederations Cup was scheduled to come to Titisee Neustadt. However, the competition for Hochfirstschanze was canceled due to unfavorable weather forecasts and insufficient snowfall.

The German Ski Association (DSV) tried to find a replacement who could take over the original competition at Titisee-Neustadt. In the end, they failed, and the jumpers did not compete in this weekend’s Confederations Cup, but they will be able to start next week instead.

The International Skating Federation (FIS) announced on Saturday that the Continental Cup will take place at Schattenbergschanze (HS137) in Oberstdorf from January 15-16. Originally, the “Second League” competition was scheduled to be held in Sapporo on this date, but the Japanese competitions in November were canceled due to the epidemic restrictions in force in the Land of the Rising Sun.
