Telegram launches video calls with up to 1,000 participants

With the arrival of the pandemic, video calls have become so powerful that it has become impossible to remove them from our lives. So much so that after initiating video calls for up to 30 people and the option to share screen, Telegram has launched a new function where we can share video calls with up to 1,000 viewers.

With this new function of the popular instant messaging app, you will be able to share the video image or your mobile screen with all the viewers. This is a very useful feature for educational or cultural purposes. So that other users can join to watch your video call, just create a public link to it and share it. When they click on the link they will be able to join them as listeners, i.e. they will not be able to interact with them in any way.

With the latest version, Telegram has also added Video Messages 2.0 which, it says, has a higher resolution as well as the option to expand the screen to pause, forward and return the message. They’ve also added new video playback speed options, so it’s now possible to watch at 0.5, 1.5 and 2x on web and iOS and 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 and 2x on Android. Custom-sized brushes for drawing on photos before you share them are also being added, as well as a new crowd of animated emojis.
