The first SMS in history, was auctioned under the name NFT for more than 120 thousand dollars

The buyer, whose full identity has not been revealed, is a Canadian who works in the new technology sector. You are now the exclusive owner of a unique digital copy of the original communication protocol that sent this SMS.

After auctioning costs were added, the letter eventually sold for 132,680 euros (about $149,000).

Received by Richard Jarvis, a Vodafone employee at the time, the text message is 15 characters long and says “Happy Birthday”.

The name NFT is an abbreviation of Non-Fungible Token, which in Spanish means non-fungible token.

It is a new type of digital asset, like cryptocurrency, and uses the same technology as the blockchain (“blockchain”) consisting of a form of identification that includes many individuals, without a unified core.

The NFT or “Digital Object” is unique and cannot be replaced by an equivalent.

Most of the buyers are collectors or speculators who hope to sell them later and earn profits.

In fact, NFTs have been champions of many infarct-priced auctions. American artist Beeple hit the record with an all-digital work for 69.3 million euros (more than 78 million dollars) in March at Christie’s in Paris.
