An Israeli civilian was wounded in the occupied West Bank when Israeli soldiers opened fire on a group of masked men who turned out to be Israelis, according to the army.

The shooting took place at an Israeli settlement near the Palestinian city of Nablus.

– The soldiers fired as usual, and one of the suspects was wounded. The army said it later discovered that they were masked Israeli citizens.

The incident occurred a day after two Israelis, a father and his son, were killed in the Palestinian town of Hawara, south of Nablus. Later, the Israeli forces searched for the suspected perpetrators in the area.

Recently, there have been a series of attacks by Palestinians on Israeli targets, as well as frequent raids by Israeli settlers and the Israeli army on Palestinian communities.

This year, at least 218 Palestinians and around 30 Israelis have died as a result of the conflict, according to a report from the AFP.
