Tesla ignored the man who may have died
The drama took place in Haverford near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lawyers for the mystery owner told CNBC that their client was unable to open the door when he noticed smoke coming out of his new Tesla. The identity of the unlucky man is still a mystery, but he is known as an “exec”, meaning a famous or high-ranking person. That would be true, because the Tesla Model S Plaid is a super sporty novelty from the American manufacturer.

In the end, the entire car caught fire, and it took firefighters up to 3 hours to put it out. Worse, Elon Musk now faces a series of questions about the quality of customer service. Lawyers contacted Tesla but reported that they had been “ignored so far”. However, making the issue public may be groundbreaking. Tesla is risking huge picture losses because its latest achievement could be life-threatening.
Elon Musk thought he’d be downhill
The US Highway Safety Authority (NHTSA) is already monitoring the fire. If the investigation reveals that the Model S Plaid has a design flaw that favors human life, the vehicle can be towed off the roads. Elon Musk hoped that the car would receive only laurels, since its specifications allow for exceptional performance. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in the catalog takes 1.99 seconds (independent tests show that doesn’t happen). Unfortunately, the project does not turn out to be the ideal for which it was created.
