The Credit One Charleston Open organizers boasted on Twitter that Iga Świątek would be the star of the tournament. The Polish women will not finish the match abroad in Miami.

“This Grand Slam champion will make her CHS debut in a few weeks. We are already looking forward to welcoming four world class players to the Credit One Charleston Open! The Polish tennis player has proven herself to be a professional on clay. For the first time in his career, ”- announced the organizers of the competition WTA 500 in Charleston on Iga Świątek’s Twitter post (see below).
The WTA Charleston will take place April 4-10. This means that your 20-year-old will extend her stay in the United States.
On Wednesday (March 9) the 2020 Roland Garros winner will begin competing in the prestigious WTA 1000 Championships in Indian Wells, which will be played on hard courts (more here). The Polish woman was ranked third and had a farewell in the first round.
This is a change of plans, because the Raszyn athlete previously announced her appearances in Indian Wells and Miami (March 21 – April 3). Ultimately, towards the end of her stay in the United States, she also decided to play Charleston.
A few days ago, the Polish Tennis Federation informed that the fourth racket in the world will play with the Polish national team in the Billie Jean King Cup match. On April 15-16, Piao Zeroni will play against Romania in Radom.
