– The coach will decide who will go to Bologna. Everyone will do everything to get to the tournament – agreed Tomasz Fornal, the host of the Polish national team after the 3-0 win against China in the Volleyball League of Nations.

The Chinese team took the lead early in the match, but Nikola Grbic’s men overcame the deficit and won the premier game.

– We were stressed. A lot of young players played, maybe we were a bit overmatched. Fortunately, we recovered and won 3-0. The Chinese players started the match well. We are happy that we have changed a tough package that can break our competitors a bit – he evaluated.

The Serbian coaching staff is preparing for the finals of the League of Nations and this year’s World Cup.

– Of course we have our problems. We are training hard. Recently, I talked to our fitness coach about how hard training is good for me. “The man is tired, but that’s okay,” he added.

Does Fornell wonder which hosts will be in the squad for the decisive Bologna match?

– I didn’t pay attention to it. I want to develop together with the best volleyball players in Poland, the training is at a high level. Last year’s HR season gave me a lot and I hope it will be the same this time too. The coach will decide who will go to Bologna. Everyone will do anything to get to the tournament – he admitted.
