Before Easter, supermarkets announced changes to the opening hours of their stores. Shops are open most of the time on Good Friday. On Holy Saturday, on the other hand, it is short – trading is prohibited from 2 p.m. We tested where you can shop on personal chains.
Holy Saturday is not a legal holiday, but as a rule, shops are less open than usual. The exception is when the boss stands behind the counter and serves customers.
Most supermarkets have extended the opening hours on Good Friday due to the limited opening hours of stores on Saturdays. Shopping is available until 10pm at Aldi, POLOmarket and some Intermarche stores. In turn, Lidl, Netto and Żabka stores will be open until 23:00, and Kaufland and select Biedronki stores will be open until midnight.
