Xbox finally lets you reveal hidden achievements thanks to a new update

Microsoft’s latest update allows Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One users have finally revealed the details of hidden achievements on console and in the official app.

These secret achievements, which developers usually hide to prevent spoilers, previously offered users only the text: “The more you play, the more likely you are to unlock.” But for achievement hunters, this usually meant that they would have to look elsewhere.

as announced Xbox WireHowever, the June update mitigates this issue somewhat, as users can now choose to reveal hidden achievements, unlock details including title, description and how much Gamerscore you’ll get as a reward upon unlocking.

The achievement can be hidden again or left unlocked, and this feature will be added simultaneously to all Xbox consoles and apps on PC, mobile, and more.

Xbox was a bit late in this post as PlayStation was given the option to reveal hidden trophies a few years into the PS4 lifecycle, in 2016. Microsoft added achievements to its games in 2005 when it launched the Xbox 360, and The designer behind the system (plus Game Pass and other features) left the company in April of this year.

The June update also makes downloading updates more efficient on Xbox, as it is now clear that game patches will be detected and downloaded faster than before.
