However, Google responded to them very quickly, announcing that the work was in progress. However, we did not know any details. Until today, when the American giant surprised us with the unexpected premiere of this smartphone. However, the surprising presentation and 5G support aren’t the only things that will surprise us in the latest cheaper Pixel phone.

The Google Pixel 5A 5G differs in many ways from the 4A 5G model. Thus, we get a larger screen, a more spacious battery, and water and dust resistance according to the standard and IP67. Plus, despite the improvements, the Pixel 5A 5G will start at $50 cheaper than the Pixel 4A 5G on launch day. Hence, the new smartphone has been priced at $449 and will go on sale in the US and Japan from August 26th. Unfortunately, it is not known when it will hit other markets.

However, let’s take a look at its specifications. The Pixel 5A 5g is equipped with a 6.34-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which provides support for 5G sub-6GHz. The processor is paired with 6 GB of RAM. 128 GB of large memory is responsible for storing data. The back panel houses a dual camera array consisting of a 12.2MP main unit and a 16MP wide-angle camera. On the front we find an 8-megapixel lens located in the screen hole. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back panel to unlock the phone. As for the battery, it has a capacity of 4,680 mAh and can be charged with a power of up to 18W. The Pixel 5A 5G runs on the latest Android 11 and comes with three years of OS updates and security patch support.
