Cristiano Ronaldo nominated for September Premier League Player of the Year ManUtd.pl

Cristiano Ronaldo has been officially nominated for the September 2021 Premier League Player of the Month award. The Portuguese will face others in the referendum with Mohamed Salah and Anshano Rudigar.

On 31 August, Manchester United officially confirmed the appointment of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese had previously left the national team camp due to suspension and immediately moved to Manchester ready for his second debut.

“CR7” appeared in all games of the English Premier League in September, resulting in three goals.

Ronaldo scored two goals in the match against United in Newcastle, the player’s second debut in the Manchester United jersey.

The Portuguese then went on to score in the match against West Ham United in London. The “Red Devils” won thanks to goals from Ronaldo and Lingard, and David de Gea also saved a shot from a penalty spot in extra time.

In the last game of September in the Premier League, Ronaldo failed to beat the Aston Villa goalkeeper. Ole Gunner Solczier’s side lost a goal from a corner, and Bruno Fernandez missed a penalty in the final act of the match.

The Premier League decided to appreciate the Portuguese’s superior form and nominated him as the best player of the month in the English Premier League.

“CR7” will compete with his teammates Joao Canalo (Manchester City), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea), Alan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle United) and Ismail Sir (Watford).
