Europa League. Legia Warsaw – Leicester. Results of the team competition

Legia Warsaw beat Spartak Moscow 1-0 in the first group match. Ernest Muse, who finished his lead with an accurate cross at the feet of Lirim Castratti, showed great rally at the end of the match. He sent the ball into the net in the 91st minute without any problems. The second match was even more exciting.

A definite start by the Legionnaires

Legia Warsaw had a very strong start to the game. The army “sat” on the enemy and in the first six minutes they recorded a few dangerous acts, which were close to complete delight. After the Legionnaires’ initial dominance, Leicester recovered and began to create more and more opportunities. This does not mean, however, that Cessa Mishnevich’s allegations have been pushed into deeper defense. Legia was able to create actions, and the opponents left a lot of space to play the ball surprisingly well.

Azar threw a measured shot from outside the penalty area and the ball bounced off the right post and crossed the goal line. Caspar Schmeichel did not even move. During the break, the Legionnaires came to a positive conclusion … as a great team.

The other half is commanded by Leicester, but without consequences

Leicester dominated the second half. Legia Warsaw was clearly very tired, but this did not affect the army’s defensive work. The Polish team was lucky at times, especially with some of Mista’s interventions. In the second 45 minutes Lizzie was very active in the attack, but their game was very ineffective. At the last minute, Legia’s goal siege was already underway, but it should be noted that the Polish champions will be leading by two or three zeros in this match. In the end, the Michnevich players put an end to the first half and scored three points in the match against favorite Leicester. This was the Army’s second victory in the second match of the Europa League.
