In a serious collision in the match against Victoria Berlin, Kaiserslautern’s Felix Gotze suffered a serious head injury.
Berlin – On Sunday afternoon, Victoria Berlin and 1. FC Kaiserslautern met in the third division. While the Pittsburgh Red Devils exacerbated their sporting crisis with a 4-0 defeat to newcomers from the capital, other concerns outweighed the other after the game. The focus was on former Bayern Munich player Felix Gotze.
Gotze, on loan from FC Augsburg to FC Kaiserslautern until summer 2022, is a regular at the Red Devils and has so far been used in every league match from the start. In the 72nd minute of the match against Victoria Berlin, the 23-year-old entered a duel with a header, crashing hard with his opponent and remaining on the ground, writhing in pain.

The standing players clapped their hands above their heads while looking at the idol lying on the ground and frantically summoned the medical staff on the field. After a long break in treatment, it was clear that the 23-year-old could not continue. Felix Gotze was brought from the field on a stretcher in agony.
“When you see something like that, it also takes you, of course. I saw the boy, he’s not really responsive anymore. Hopefully it’s not worse, we haven’t been diagnosed yet,” FCK coach Marco Antwerpen said right after the match.

The association announced that Felix Goetze is still receiving medical treatment at the Berlin Hospital. The diagnosis of cracks in the skull has been made here temporarily.” Gotze stay in the intensive care unit for further observation, but he feels fine under the circumstances.
