Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 – Introduces for the first time an extraordinary smartphone to gamers

Just before the official presentation of the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, images of this unique smartphone for gamers have been leaked to the network. Although the equipment from the front appears quite conservative, the design of the rear of the chassis may be surprising. In the middle there is a large tab with a cooling system and an optical system. During the press conference, representatives of Lenovo presented the capabilities of this device.

The heart of the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G version supported by up to 18 GB of RAM in the most powerful version. We’ll also get 256GB to 512GB of data and a 6.92-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels.

As befits top-class equipment, the manufacturer made sure that the Legion Phone Duel 2 displayed the image in excellent quality, so the matrix was adapted to support HDR10 + and work at a 144Hz refresh rate. With gamers in mind, a high-frequency sampling frequency (720 Hz) touch sensor is also installed here, ensuring that the device quickly responds to commands. Plus, the screen is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective layer to protect it from accidental damage.

However, the gaming capabilities of this model are the most interesting. The engineers decided to use two batteries with a capacity of 2750 mAh, which we can fill with two chargers at the same time, thus reducing the time required to fill them to 30 minutes. A dual active cooling system will help cool such an overall system.

Using the two USB-C outputs will allow you to choose from which side we want to connect our phone, if we have one charger. This can be very useful during gameplay – the cable on the long edge will not interfere with the game like the cable connected to the short edge.

However, that’s not the end, because one of the longer edges is fitted with four ultrasound buttons, and two capacitive buttons have been added on the back of the case, which will make mobile gaming easier. Thus, the additional function buttons will make Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 similar to the classic pad.

The new member of the Lenovo family also looks good in terms of photography. The main optics use the standard 64MP camera and the 16MP wide-angle camera with a 123-degree viewing angle. The 44MP pop-up selfie camera is also hidden in the central bulge.

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 will first go to customers from China, and in May it will debut in the European market. We will pay 799 euros for the base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of data.
