Foreign Minister Anne Linde will lead the Swedish delegation to accession talks with NATO on 4 July. The talks are taking place at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The foreign minister will also attend a meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) on July 5, where the accession protocols for Sweden and Finland are expected to be signed by the ambassadors of the 30 NATO member states.

The Heads of State and Government of NATO countries decided during the summit held in Madrid to invite Sweden and Finland as members of NATO. On July 4, Sweden will hold formal accession talks with the NATO Secretariat. Foreign Minister Anne Linde led the Swedish delegation, which includes Jan Olof Lind, Minister of State at the Ministry of Defence. Finland will hold separate accession talks on the same day.
