Hubert Hurkacz will join the main ladder of the ATP 500 steel court in Dubai on Tuesday. The Polish tennis player will have the opportunity to play a rematch after the defeat two years ago.

On Monday, Hubert Hurkacz entered the court for the first time as part of the 2022 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Initially, the Wrocław player played doubles, defeating Aleksander Bublik and Altog Celikbelic alongside Jannik Sener. He is the first contender to be the pole opponent in the singles on Tuesday.
Bublik has shown itself very well in recent weeks. He won the ATP 250 indoor competition in Montpellier, thus winning the first round championship. Previously, he lost four finals (Newport and Chengdu 2019 and Antalya and Singapore 2021), but eventually achieved his first success.
– She played in four finals, and in the fifth she beat the great Alexander Zverev. Everything turned out wonderfully. It served and promised well and kept my nerves in check. I was lucky on some moments, and when I had the opportunity, I took advantage of it — said Kazakhstan, whose stance on the court represents the colorful variety on the men’s tour.

On Monday, Bublik ranked 30th in his career in the ATP rankings. However, his goals go to a higher level. The 24-year-old has the potential to climb the world rankings. If he delivers at a high level, he is able to surprise key players. As was the case in Montpellier, where he defeated Alexander Zverev and Roberto Bautista.
Hurkacz has already learned the power of Bublik. Two years ago, he lost to him in the first round of the competition in Dubai 2:6, 5:7. But later, it was the Pole who used his strength and took the rematch on the Wimbledon lawns. Last season our representative beat Kazakh 6:3, 6:4, 6:2 in the third round of the London competition. On Tuesday, Huobi will also want to improve in the UAE.
