Would you buy a laptop at El Buen Fin? Check out the recommendations of Profeco – El Financiero

Many people at El Buen Fin take the opportunity to purchase products such as laptops.

The number of models and brands is huge, so the choice can be difficult. However, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office conducted a consumer a study Quality in 15 models from five brands to make your decision easier.

The analysis included entry-level, intermediate and high performance levels, as well as ultra-portable devices. They all have Windows 8.1 and 10.

Each of them has undergone 1,770 and 120 tests checking microprocessors, screen size or hard disk size and memory.

Profeco found that nearly all entry-level and mid-tier models offer a 14-inch screen with a glossy finish and high-definition audio and video (HDMI) output, but no models have a touchscreen.

Some of the models in this range are:

  • Lanix/Neuron R scores Excellent (E) for overall performance, Dell/Inspiron scores Very Good (MB) for overall performance
  • Acer/Aspire E14 ES-473-C8A3 scored good (M)

Profeco mentioned that the high-performance PCs they reviewed have advanced capabilities, but aren’t great in graphic applications because of the hard drive’s read speed:

  • HP / ENVY 15-ae106la Intel Core i7 6500-U @ 2.6 GHz (2 cores) / 16 GB / 2 TB / 15.6″ (E)
  • Lenovo / Ideapad 500-14ISK Intel Core i7 6500U @ 2.6 GHz (2 núcleos) / 16 GB / 1 TB / 14 inch (E).

He noted that among the ultraportable models analyzed, two incorporate solid-state drives (SSDs), which are faster and more reliable than conventional drives, but have less storage:

  • Lenovo / Yoga 900-13ISKIntel Core i7 6500U @ 2.6 GHz (2 núcleos) / 8 GB / 250 GB (SSD) / 13.3″ (E)
  • Dell / XPS 13 Intel Core i5 5200U @ 2.2 GHz (2 núcleos) / 4 GB / 250 GB (SSD) / 13.3 x 16 GB / 1 TB / 14 inch (E).
