Pop star Britney Spears resists her father’s guardianship. In court, she broke her silence and apparently said with tears about the stress of the past few years. Now, many celebrities have publicly expressed their support for Spears.
Singer Halsey also commented on Twitter. She sincerely hopes Spears will regain her freedom. “She deserves it more than anything,” Halsey says. “I admire her courage to speak up for herself today.”
Singer Justin Timberlake, an ex-boyfriend of Spears, wrote on Twitter that he and wife Jessica Biel are sending their love and “full support” to the singer. “From what we’ve seen today, we all have to support Britney this time around,” Timberlake wrote on Twitter. “Hopefully the courts and her family will correct this and let her live as she pleases.”

The 39-year-old made it clear at a court hearing on Wednesday that she wanted to end her guardianship over her person and financial situation, and made serious allegations against her father in particular. “I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years and that’s enough,” the singer said.
After Spears collapsed mentally due to professional and personal problems, a court in 2008 ruled the transfer of custody to her father. Since then, Jamie Spears has managed his famous daughter’s fortune and other affairs. Later, a financial trustee and another person were appointed as co-custodians.
