The construction of the bridge over the DW913 is part of an investment of 660 million PLN – the construction of a railway to Katowice Airport. This project is funded by European Union funds.

According to the press team of PKP PLK, the works will be carried out simultaneously with the works of the track on the line, stops and stops. There will be a road, sidewalk and bike path under the bridge; This will ensure that the trains pass freely and collision-free on the road. An important component of the investment is the Pyrzowice Lotnisko terminal near the port. The investment value of the partially abandoned “Revitalization and reconstruction of railway No. 182 Tarnowskie Góry – Zawiercie” is 660 million PLN, of which the EU financing under the Infrastructure and Environment Program amounts to more than 500 million PLN. The works are scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.

As part of the mission, a closed 30-kilometer section of the track between Tarnowskie Góry and Siewierz will be reconstructed. Activation and electricity will take care of about 48 kilometers of the railway line. Trains will travel to the airport at speeds of up to 140 km / h, and freight trains at up to 80 km / h.
