This year’s planned transformation of digital terrestrial television by the European Commission, which involves replacing the existing DVB-T / MPEG-4 system with DVB-T2 / HEVC, involves the emission of 700 MHz frequencies. Four steps

The whole process of switching to the new standard is divided into four stages. The first stage – from March 28, 2022 – includes Dolnośląskie and Lubuskie voivodeships. On June 27, the fourth and final phase began in the following voivodeships: Mazowieckie, Lubelskie, Podlaskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie.

For some families, the change of standard may involve replacing the TV box with a newer model or replacing a previously used set-top box with a digital terrestrial television set-top box. As a result, the law supporting families was amended. It established the PLN 250 affiliate funding for families with difficulty financing the purchase of a set-top box to purchase the digital receiver needed to benefit up to PLN 100 and digital terrestrial television.
