Mateusz Drodo appointed the new head of Widzew Łódź.
Widzew Łódź has announced in the official announcement that Mateusz Drodo will be the new president of the club’s board of directors. Former president of Zagłębie Lubin and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Górnik Polkowice will take office on June 22.
Matthews Drodo is a lawyer by education. For many years he worked as an academic teacher, incl. In the Department of Economic Law of Lazarsky University. He is a lecturer in the International Legal Studies Program in Salzburg and a Postgraduate in Sports Infrastructure Management, as well as Coventry University’s English Studies. He has sat on the supervisory boards of Cuprum-Med sp. Z oo, Zagłębie Lubin SA and Ekstraklasa SA – we read in the official announcement on the Widzew website.

In this position, Dródż will replace Piotr Szor, who was president after the departure of Martyna Pajączek. On Wednesday, June 23 at 12:00, an official press conference will be held with the participation of the new president of Widzew.
It is noteworthy that these are not the first changes that have occurred recently in the club from Aleja Piłsudskiego. A few days ago, János Nidovedo was announced as Widzew’s new coach. He replaced Marcin Broniszewski in this position.
