Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will be released on July 19th

With Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, the racing game’s first expansion has now been officially announced. This confirms what the thumbnail on Steam suggested a few days ago. Of course, there’s a trailer accompanying the ad, which you can watch below as usual.

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will be released on July 19, 2022. If you have the Premium Add-On Pack, Premium Edition, or Expansions Pack, you can access the expansion upon release.

Some of the cars featured in the trailer are available through the Forza Horizon 5 Series 9 Festival playlist. Details will be communicated in a future blog post.

But what’s actually in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels? The new Horizon Hot Wheels Park features over 120 miles of orange Hot Wheels trails. Loops and turns included. The park takes us to dizzy heights, above Mexico. You can look forward to magnetic tracks, ice, canyons and massive trails.

In total, you can explore four new biomes in the expansion. Including Giant’s Canyon, where rock formations reflect the engine noise and frosty cauldron. There, frozen tundra drips into molten lava. In Forest Falls, trees soar above the falls and, last but not least, the Horizon Nexus. The Horizon Festival there is suspended in a series of Hot Wheels tracks. Hot Wheels tracks are the familiar orange rails.

Your goal in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is to be a Hot Wheels Legend. That’s why you go to the so-called Hot Wheels Academy. You get started on the B Class Hot Wheels Baja Bone Shaker and the new campaign begins. Little by little, you work your way up, into faster car classes, until you finally reach the X. Complete missions to unlock Hot Wheels Heats events and experience Hot Wheels history in this five-part Horizon story.

To make it easier to access the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion, getting started is simple. You just need to complete the main game introduction. You can also play in co-op mode from the start. Free Express Travel will be available in the expansion from the start.

Forza Horizon 5 EventLab expands with the Hot Wheels Creation Kit. Includes over 80 new parts for the arenas and adventures. Props from the Hot Wheels Creation Kit can be connected to each other at the touch of a button in the layout generator.
