Golden Ball 2021 – Comments. Robert Lewandowski took the lead

Lewandowski finished second in the “France Football” poll for the best footballer of 2021. He returned home with the statue for the best striker. As soon as the poll was over, he congratulated the winners of the gold ball. Lionel Messi won in the men’s category and Alexia Buttellos in the women’s category.

Only two poles had previously been in the top three in this prestigious poll – Casimir Dina in 1974 and Zbigniew Boniek in 1982.

Last year, the “France Football” poll was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
