Eurelectric has been invited to one of the most important summits related to electricity generation, supply and distribution, the Energy Summit 2022, which took place on June 15-16 at the Gare Maritime in Brussels, Belgium. At the event, Huawei Digital Power shared its commitment to working with partners and customers to accelerate Europe’s energy transition by driving renewable energy growth, building green ICT infrastructure, and promoting the electrification of the transport sector.
The Energy Summit 2022 brought together leaders from the European energy sector and policy makers to explore disruptive digital solutions to accelerate the transition of energy and electricity.
By integrating digital and energy electronic technologies and combining information and energy flows, Huawei Digital Power is digitizing power systems with its products and management platforms. At the summit, Huawei Digital Power presented three innovations:
Huawei Digital Power has developed completely new photovoltaic and energy storage solutions for utility-scale photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, commercial and industrial applications, residential applications, and smart microgrids. By offering safe and reliable solar solutions that generate higher electricity returns, Huawei Digital Power is stepping up efforts to accelerate the deployment of solar energy as a primary energy and enable industries and homes to benefit from green energy.
Huawei Digital Power provides FusionCharge DC charging solutions to support EU carbon reduction goals and the development of transport electrification applications, which is key to achieving carbon neutrality. Digital technologies are redefining the driving experience and safety for consumers in electric vehicles (EVs).
Green ICT infrastructure as the basis for the digital world. Huawei Digital Power works on sustainable, simplified, autonomous, and reliable next-generation data center facilities. It also helps operators build low carbon networks. Green, energy-efficient, flexible, intelligent and automated ICT infrastructure will be the driver of the green digital economy.
“Huawei Digital Power is committed to building green energy infrastructure, which includes green grid power, green data centers, green ubiquitous energy, and green transportation. With green power generation, efficient use of electricity, and smart grid management systems, we can achieve low-carbon emissions in all scenarios and actively promoting the contribution to European carbon neutrality goals. We strongly believe in technology for a better and greener future,” said Michel Fries, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Huawei Digital Power Europe.
As of December 31, 2021, Huawei Digital Power in Europe has helped customers generate 84.2 billion kWh of green electricity, save 2.3 billion kWh of electricity, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 23.8 million tons, corresponding to the cultivation of 32 million Tree.
