June 27, 2002 marked John Cena’s debut on the WWE main roster and launched the era of ruthless aggression. After 20 years, here we are in the June 27 edition of RAW and John Cena is back to celebrate his 20th birthday in WWE.
John Cena didn’t participate in the physical event on his 20th birthday, but he took some time to make a statement like never before. He explained that he would not have spent two decades in the WWE without the WWE Universe. He should say thank you for times like this night and for his creation. WWE prepared him for anything. He’s not talking about Fast and Furious or the Peacemaker, he’s talking about fans’ reaction and our engagement with him! He’s a better person, a better professional, a better husband because of it.
John Cena ended up saying that we would always be together even if he was outside of the WWE. He made it clear that it was not over and that he would return to the ring and not just once.
At this time, it is unknown when John Cena’s return to the ring will occur. We can expect to see him again in the ring this summer to take on Theory, but it looks like that story isn’t starting right now.
