10-year-old Monroe Cannon plays her famous kid in an ad campaign for a clothing brand.
Mariah Carey’s daughter has appeared in fashion as part of an ad campaign featuring OshKosh B’Gosh’s new back to school collection. The “Heartbreaker” singer and her daughter have teamed up with the makers of the popular American children’s clothing brand for the “Today is Someday” campaign, which also features the late Muhammad Ali and rap duo OutKast.
In Spots, the stars are seen sharing their inner thoughts as children through a series of vignettes. For Mariah Carey, it is Monroe Cannon, 10, who plays her young mother. “Little girl, I was determined to make my dreams come true,” Mariah Carey shares in a press release. Now, as a mother, I am very happy to see my children imagining and developing the dreams they carry in their hearts. We ran this campaign because we love the message of empowering children to dream boldly and make their own way. “
A reference to what they were like before they were icons
Jeff Jenkins, Executive Vice President of Global Brand Marketing, said: “This campaign represents a new look at OshKosh B’gosh – a look that connects the past and present and supports children’s dreams, courage and determination. OshKosh supports children for generations. As we look to the future, we want to celebrate these pioneers. Inspiring people with a nod to what they were before they were icons. We want to encourage children around the world to dream big as they go back to school.”
Monroe Cannon and her Moroccan twin brother are the children of Mariah Carey with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
