I have to honestly admit that Dead Cells isn’t the simplest game. It requires certain skills from the player in order to be able to complete it. Despite the really excellent reviews, many daredevils who participated in the game could not fulfill them, complaining about the “exaggerated level of difficulty”. The developers decided to do something about it.

The independent French studio Motion Twin met the requirements of the players and developed a system thanks to which everyone can adjust the level of difficulty. More precisely, they will offer options in which everyone will be able to set certain aspects to their own preferences. This was stated by the chief game designer – Matthew Hutton in an interview with Twinfinite.

Thus, we will get, among other things easier to dodge or dodge attacks, automatically attack enemies, determine opponents’ health, deal damage or manipulate traps damage. In addition, the option to start the game from the last save (the so-called “continue module”) will be implemented.

Currently, the above solutions are currently available to try in alpha version on Steam. In addition, other changes will also be made, such as audio adjustments (with separate volume sliders for active skills, enemies, environment or interactive elements), other fonts, colors, layouts, and UI size.

At the same time, we would like to remind you that Dead Cells was originally released on August 7, 2018 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A year later, the game debuted on iOS phones, and in 2020 on Android. We also encourage you to read our review of this production.
