Energa’s supervisory board has removed President Jacek Goliński from the board of directors. His duties will be taken over by the current Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Iona Waxmundska-Ulinzak, until the appointment of a new president – the company reported.
Goliński is Brother of Law and Justice MP Magorzata Golinska, he is the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Climate and Environment. He was the president of the company as of December 2019. It is not known if the decision to dismiss him was related to the so-called decision on nepotism adopted by the ruling party in July.
It is related to a resolution adopted at the last Congress of the Law and Justice Party, which states that That spouses, sons, sisters, and parents of PiS representatives and senators cannot sit on the supervisory boards of SOEs. The ban also applies to the employment of immediate family members of PiS deputies and senators in SP companies.

However, there are exceptions to the decision. The ban does not apply to persons “who were employed / worked in the structures of state treasury companies due to their professional qualifications and experience and at the same time their unusual life situation.”
