The new train carried its first passengers directly from Nevag

The first Impulse II of a set of 21 produced for the Warsaw Express Railway has just transported its first passengers. They were representatives of the Warsaw conglomerate and the Newag company, that is, the manufacturer – the capital hall was informed.

Warsaw is waiting for 21 new Nowy Sącz trains from Nowy Sącz, which will run in Szybka Kolej Miejska colors. The first Impulse 2 train is ready and has just made its first test flight at the manufacturer’s headquarters from Nowy Sącz.

The new trains will be equipped with Wi-Fi, USB chargers, a modern passenger information system, ticket vending machines and life-saving AED defibrillators. Each vehicle will be fully air-conditioned and adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility, parents traveling with their children in prams or passengers with bicycles. The manufacturer also provided an additional solution for the driver. It is the door in the cabin, thanks to which the driver can safely leave without going into the passenger area.

During peak hours, new vehicles will be linked together to provide more seats for passengers.

“Production of 21 trains is on schedule. The vehicles are currently in the final stage of commissioning, and next week the first Impuls 2 will go to the test track in Żmigród for homologation tests there” – Report to the city council.

The value of the contract entered into by Newag is approximately PLN 668 million total, of which approximately PLN 203 million comes from OPEN infrastructure for the period 2014-2020. The contract also includes training employees in the field of operating trains and serving seven years.
