Chelsea are clearly winning, but they have to deal with the injuries of two of their best strikers. Atalanta Bergamo upset Manchester United, but Champions League top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo caused belated cheers for the Red Devils.

With a great comeback, Manchester United advanced in the preliminary round of Group F of the Champions League. Despite trailing two goals, the Red Devils won 3-2 (0-2) at Atalanta Bergamo.
