Marvel will soon be planning the next 10 years of MCU movies

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is over 15 years old, if you can believe it, and spans a wide variety of TV series and movies. And if Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has anything to say on the matter, this universe isn’t going to end anytime soon.

Kevin Feige was in attendance at Disney’s Cinemacon 2022 show in Las Vegas, where Marvel revealed new footage of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, among other events. During the highly commented presentation, Feige said that the Marvel leadership is currently planning its first creative retreat in three years, which will be used to plan the next ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There will be much to discuss. The MCU these days is filled with a variety of new heroes, including Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor, and an entire multiverse to explore. The MCU has also expanded significantly into the streaming world, with series like Loki and WandaVision leading the biggest action movies.

It’s hard to tell which direction the MCU will take in the next decade and change, but there’s no sign that fans are getting tired of superheroes anytime soon. And with a few exceptions, Marvel has rarely been wrong on this point.

We’ll find out more when Doctor Strange opens in the Multiverse of Madness on May 5th.
